Are you tired of following the status quo?
Do you want to spread your wings and soar through life?
But you don’t know where to start, and you’re kind of stressed out about what people might think?
Well let’s start with getting you out of your comfort zone.
Are you shy? Would you be able to just lie down without moving on the street while everyone is looking at you?
Here’s how you can easily get out of your comfort zone while having fun and without spending a lot of money or time.
1- Take a selfie with a stranger
Find someone who is in their own bubble. Walk up to them, take a selfie and post it using the #physicalpark hashtag on Instagram.
If you can do this, you’re definitely getting outside of your comfort zone!
2- Buy a coffee for your friend
This might sound simple but how many times have you bought a coffee for one of your friends?
It’s such a spontaneous and confident move, to think of someone else before yourself, definitely an out of your comfort zone move.
3- Go to a Zumba class
If you have enough guts to just jump in a Zumba class and to try following the teacher without feeling bad about your performance you have reached a whole new level of comfort!
4- Try eating something brand new
Either try a completely new dish (preferably the one you can’t pronounce properly) at your favourite restaurant or visit a brand new restaurant such as: O Noir (Montreal, qc) or Nil Bleu (Montreal, qc).
At O Noir, you can expect to be submerged in darkness while eating dinner and being served by blind waiters.
At Nil bleu, you can expect to be eating Ethiopian meals with your hands. These places are amazing spots to get you out of your comfort zones with friends!
5- Look at people directly in the eyes for a full day
This is more intimidating than you think. Now don’t get creepy on this one, don’t start starring at people non-stop. When you’re speaking with them look directly into their eyes with confidence and try to keep that up throughout a whole day.
At first it might be hard but you’re confidence level will definitely go up after a few trials. You can find other fun tips like this one in the book 4 Hour Workweek.
So this is it, pick a challenge or do all of them and let us know how you did and if you felt more confident afterwards?
P.S. If you did the first one (which I strongly suggest) don’t forget to post a pic on Instagram with the hashtag #physicalpark so we can see who found the awesomest stranger…
